Customer Request

Phil Jones, Manager of Monmouthshire Livestock Centre, contacted Dyfed CCTV to completely overhaul their outdated analogue security system. The original cameras, installed over 15 years ago by a local company, were rusted, unmaintained, and had stopped working years earlier. With regular livestock auctions and large numbers of farmers and visitors each week, a modern and reliable CCTV solution was urgently needed.

Solution

Dyfed CCTV removed the entire old system and installed a brand-new IP-based Hikvision system throughout the market:

  • PTZ cameras with 25× zoom for full coverage of the car park.

  • Hikvision bullet cameras in the auction rings to live stream and record animals being sold.

  • Multiple turret cameras for additional coverage around the site.

  • Smart Hybrid and ColorVu colour night vision technology for excellent image quality day and night.

This upgrade transformed the market’s surveillance capabilities, providing crystal-clear footage and reliable operation across the entire facility.

Outcome

The new system represents a huge leap forward in security and functionality for Raglan Mart. In addition to enhancing safety and monitoring, the site now acts as a permanent live advert and demonstration of Dyfed CCTV’s quality and equipment — a powerful marketing asset, given that much of our customer base is made up of farmers.

With a weekly trade stand at the market, we’re also able to provide ongoing support, advice, and demonstrations to customers in person, further strengthening our reputation in the farming community.

Customer Review

“The new CCTV system has completely transformed our site. It’s reliable, clear, and exactly what we needed. The Dyfed CCTV team were professional from start to finish.”
